Ana has begun to write her name. Everywhere. While she can spin the whole thing out in blocky letters (A-N-A), she's most fond of just writing the letter A. On a recent hike along the Mississippi River she wrote a long chain A's into the sand with a stick. We gave her so many kudos for this task that once we got home she felt empowered enough to scratch the letter A into my car door with the sharp end of a rock (it's hard to see, but I've circled it in red). My reaction was a bit different, but she seemed unfazed and maybe even a little pleased that she'd essentially graffiti'ed my car with the Anarchy symbol.
