My cousin Olga just sent Ana a beautiful, hand-made dress from Mexico. Thank you! Ana, who still calls any form of dancing that entails waving a dress "Ya Ya Dancing" (see this post for details), loves it. A favorite afternoon activity has us turning up the music, slipping her into the dress, and letting her cut a rug. While the brass heavy music of the Istmo mixed with the flowing dresses worn by the women down there demands a more elegant sway to their dancing, we don't want to be accused of not letting Ana explore her 1/4 Irish heritage when it comes to exploring other forms of dancing, too. As such, the final video below shows Ana dancing to a classic Irish tune, circa 1990 (notice how she waits for the downbeat).
