Hello Kitty, Heal US

We've had an unusually intense outbreak of personal injuries in the house lately. Luckily, this uptick has corresponded with the purchase of some Hello Kitty band-aids. On a recent trip to Target Jen bought a pack of Hello Kitty band-aids for Ana; we explained to Ana that these were ONLY for cuts, bruises, or other types of injuries. She nodded thoughtfully, and went into the next room. Only after she was out of view did we heard a crash, and wail. When we asked her what had occurred, she reported that she'd tripped and hurt her shin. She requested a band-aid. A few more hours passed and, incredibly, she injured herself again -- this time developing a small cut on her hand that was undetectable to the naked eye. We applied a band-aid, as a good faith gesture. The ensuing days have been nothing short of calamity: more trips, several invisible splinters, a few head conks un-witnessed by adults, and countless microscopic cuts. Ana begged to treat all these injuries with Hello Kitty band-aids, and eventually we gave in. Right now she has three band-aids on her shin, two on her feet, about one on her hand. She looks like she was attacked by a cat. Thank God for the Hello Kitty band-aids and thank God they're almost gone.

  1. Yep, that happened here too. Dunno if Ana is into Kai Lan, but there are also KL bandages. When my kiddo saw i got some she somehow got an ouchie on her cheek. Ended up choosing the largest square bandage in the pack and sported that thing like Ali with a black eye from a winning fight.

Love us some HK in this house -wait til you guys start getting into HK clothing. At present the girl has 3 HK short sleeve, 2 HK long sleeve, 2 HK pjs, countless underwear, 2 HK skirts, a pair of HK Vans, and about 4 different HK purses, and a pair of HK slippers. Oh, forgot about the linens, 2 sets of HK bedsheets/pillow cases, 1 fleece blanket, 1 comforter, and 3 different HK stuffed dolls (2 of which are from Korea and Japan).

I personally only bought her 2 t-shirts, everything else were gifted. That's what you guys get to look forward to.

    Enjoy!
