Ana just developed a new fear that has upended the entire household. A few nights ago, after stories, and once she was in her crib, she bolted awake and refused to go to sleep. She claimed there was a "Cookie Shadow" on her wall. At first this sounded pretty benign to us, and we secretly suspected it was just the headlight of some passing car. But, wanting to honor her feelings Jen and I asked: "So what does this Cookie Shadow look like?" She answered, "It's a cookie with no mouth, but it can still eat you." Jen reassured her, and two nights later Ana fell asleep right away, but there's still one problem: I'm scared shitless of the Cookie Shadow now.
Those mouthless cookies threaten us over here, too! Yeep!
