Batgirl Rises

After months of anticipation Ana donned her Batgirl mask and headed out for Halloween. It was her first trick-or-treating night ever -- we drove to the Berkeley Hills where Ana knocked on about ten doors. We'd practiced for this night in advance: during a practice session Ana knocked on the back patio door in Minnesota and announced "trick-or-treat" when Jen answered. We also practiced what she should do when passing out candy, too, although this was less successful. When I pretended to be the trick-or-treater Ana opened the door, surveyed me with her eyes, and then took my bag of candy before shutting the door in my face. I had to watch her pretending to eat my candy while I waited outside.

  1. Omigosh, she is the cutest little bat girl evah! And she got to show off her costume too and not hide it behind a thick jacket (am assuming it's getting really BRRRRR! in Minnesota). It was great to see you again Max, and to meet your beautiful wife and daughter for the first time.

  2. Wow. Your daughter looks great. Max, how come you didn't dress up? Spider Man and Mary Jane?
