Like her parents, Ana's always had an introverted streak -- she likes to be alone sometimes. This part of her personality is balanced by the fact that when there's a party, she loves to be at the center of it all. When it comes to being alone, however, we've always encouraged her; Ana will find a place in the house and hide for a while and we'll just leave her be. Today, Ana found a new place to be alone -- the laundry bin. She crawled inside and sucked her fingers for a while. After a while, I decided to carry her around, but she pretended not to notice me until she was ready to engage the world again (she finally popped out and yelled hello)...
