We've tried everything: gently taking her away, telling her "All Done!" and even looking for a way to lock the broiler door, but it doesn't work. This girl loves trying to crawl into the broiler. Dear Grandparents: don't worry. It's fine. There is no danger. We are always watching her and someday she'll understand why this is not okay. But for now, we thought we'd share this cute and terrifying photo.

Hi Max,
ReplyDeleteIt's Christina, from College Prep. Congrats on your beautiful daughter. I found your blog thru KL's, hope you don't mind. Anyway, if you really want to lock the broiler you can always get one of these. It's not pretty but it works (we use it for our dish washer -it doesn't work but the door is loose and doesn't lock).
Take care!

When Hope was around 2 she put her dolls to bed in the broiler. We figured this out after the house was full of smoke and soot.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry, that read wrong, let's clarify. The lock works great, the washer doesn't work.
